Food

Food is not the enemy, it is one of the greatest pleasures in life, this is when we are at our most social.  When we are dieting we are in conflict with food and we are constantly denying the foods we love, our relationship with food then becomes dysfunctional.

Our bodies instinctively gives us feed back as to what food fuels it needs to maintain its functions in harmony. Sadly over time and as we become more anxious, these messages are masked or simply ignored.

The food industry tells us how fast food can be prepared, more often than not, the food's nutritional value and flavour are secondary.

Bodywatch does not produce diet sheets, we educate you about the nutritional value of foods, we train your thinking to manage desire and quell demand without denying the foods you love, this usually requires a complete re-education.

It does not matter that you do not lose weight for a time just so long as your relationship with food has not changed to old habits. A deep understanding of your needs and desires are managed by you, there is no need to feel guilty or have any self-loathing for eating nice and naughty food and, even occasionally, eating more than your body requires.  If you feel you are being denied and you feel you are on a diet bodywatch has failed.
